“Paolo Genovese’s play “Perfect Strangers” is interesting not because of its successful film version, which made a splash a few years ago, but because of the complex and unexpected interrelationships between the characters, bringing out contemporary, but also unexpected themes that relate to the life of the modern person.

Perhaps the telephone, as a phenomenon in our lives, hides a great danger, and that is that it is able to easily seduce us into trusting it with our secrets, but without any guarantee of their storage and protection.
Man is like a magical casket of secrets, and these secrets may, like precious pearls, turn out to be unseen misfortunes or cruel weapons.

Man is a pandora’s box with several bottoms. And we should be able to take responsibility for our curiosity and its consequences when we decide to open it. It is an illusion that we know someone, even the one closest to us. We cannot know anyone completely, any more than we can know the universe completely.”

Stayko Murdjev, director
